The Bay View House | Old Dunsborough

A small beachfront home is a great example of how old buildings can take on a second life.

Starting life as a simple brick shed, this home has been reborn as a modern 3 bedroom home set amongst soaring trees and overlooking a small beach.

An upper storey lightweight addition of Scyon 'Axon' cladding with curving roof blends the home into the natural environment with spectacular bay views from the deck and balcony.  Random rubble recycled limestone has been used for feature walls to reflect the rocky beach in front of the home. A steel , timber and wire modern staircase gives the interiors a nautical theme while Jarrah walkways and decking also reflect the local materials of the region.

TESTIMONIAL | WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING

John listens intently and then has the uncanny knack of translating your ideas into practical and inspiring reality. He even knows how to incorporate two seemingly opposing views into an integrated whole at one with the environment.
