This spacious family homestead , known as the “Suburban Farmhaus”, is a modern interpretation of the traditional farmhouse in the owners native South Africa.
The Architecture, Interiors and Landscaping are all designed to reflect this theme, resulting in a home and gardens that are at at the same time both contemporary and traditional.

A refreshing interpretation of a modern suburban residence with multiple references to a traditional farmhouse, taking many cues from yesteryear and fitting well into the leafy locale.

Whitewashed walls, steep gables and vine covered pergolas are all part of the farmhouse vernacular that are reflected in this design.
Dense landscaping reminiscent of the South African bush offsets the rigid geometry of the architectural forms.
