The Filter House | Shoalwater
The Filter House is an exploration of what it means to live by the sea in harmony with the harsh environment and coastal conditions.
With breath-taking views over the Shoalwater Marine Park, this home is designed to make full use of its enviable location while still offering protection from the harsh coastal weather of winds, salt spray and winter storms. With a series of timber screens and large roof overhangs, the home is able to shut out the extremes of weather when required, and at other times to open up to capture the views.
With timber cladding, white washed walls and recycled timber beams the home is at one in the Marine Park environment and will stand as a testament as to what coastal living could be.
